Ask anything

Common questions.

What people ask most often — pricing, permits, timelines, materials, and how the design-build process actually works.

What areas do you serve?

Broward and Palm Beach counties — from Fort Lauderdale, Pompano, Plantation, and Coral Springs through Boca Raton, Delray, Boynton, Palm Beach Gardens, and Jupiter. If your project is between Fort Lauderdale and Jupiter, we cover it. Adjacent cities we consider case-by-case.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Salamone Design LLC (DBA Salamone Solutions) is fully licensed and insured for outdoor living construction in Florida. License number and certificate of insurance sent to your HOA, GC, or building department on request.

How does a project actually start?

A phone conversation first — we want to hear what you're envisioning and what the property is like. From there it's an on-site consultation (paid, $250, credited to the build) where Anthony walks the space, sketches concepts, discusses materials, and gives you honest budget banding. That's the moment you decide whether to move forward.

What does an outdoor living project cost?

Range is huge because scope is huge. A single motorized pergola runs $18k–$60k depending on size and integrations. A full outdoor kitchen with pergola cover runs $60k–$150k. A complete backyard renovation with pool deck, cabana, kitchen, and landscape frequently lands between $150k and $500k+. We give real numbers after the consultation.

How long does a project take from signed contract to done?

Depends entirely on scope and lead times. A standalone pergola install is typically 8–14 weeks (bulk of that is pergola kit lead time). A full backyard build with pool deck, kitchen, and landscape is often 4–8 months on-site. We give a project schedule with the proposal and hit our dates.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. Every covered structure, every plumbed appliance, every gas line, and every electrical run gets a permit pulled in our name. We schedule the inspections and we're on-site for them. You don't touch the permit portal.

Can you work with my architect / designer / pool builder?

Yes — we coordinate constantly with pool builders, architects, and interior designers. If you already have a design team, we can execute their design. If not, we design and build in-house.

What pergola brands do you install?

Struxure, Renson, Azenco, and other top-tier motorized louvered systems. We spec the brand based on the project — commercial hospitality has different requirements than residential, and clear-span dimensions vary by system. We'll recommend during the design phase.

Do you build outdoor kitchens with real appliances?

Yes — built-in gas grills, side burners, pizza ovens, under-counter refrigeration, ice makers, kegerators, wine coolers, sinks with plumbing, weatherproof TVs and speakers. Full-spec, not the grill-on-wheels approach.

What about the pool itself — do you build pools?

We partner with pool builders. Our lane is the deck, coping, cabana, kitchen, and landscape around the pool. If you're planning a new pool, we can recommend builders and coordinate the deck design with theirs from schematic.

Do you do commercial or hospitality work?

Yes — restaurant patio pergolas with motorized shade + rain sensors, hospitality outdoor bars, resort cabana builds. Commercial installs have different code, insurance, and coordination requirements. We've done multiple across South Florida.

What's the warranty?

Manufacturer warranties on the pergola kit, appliances, and equipment pass through to you (typically 5–15 years depending on the product). We warranty our workmanship on the installation itself.

Design. Build. Solve.

Every project starts with a phone call and a walk of your property. Two hours with Anthony — the designer who'll actually build it — is where the transformation begins.
